Home Care focuses exclusively on the Activities of Daily Living. Personal care, dressing, bathing, grooming, ambulation etc. This is commonly called non-medical home care or personal assistance service.
Home Care is billed on an hourly basis. We charge $21.50 per hour and we have a 4
hour minimum shift requirement. Home Care works best when we have very routine schedules. A typical schedule might be 2-3 days weekly for 4 hours up to 24 hour care. Routine schedules allow us to provide consistent caregivers, an important factor in making home care a good option.
The most important person in our company, at least as far as our clients are concerned, is the caregiver. Our job, as the case managers, is to put the right caregiver into the situation. Our caregivers are employees, not contractors, and they are the key to our success.
We believe in the concept of overall well-being. Clients should be able to express their
autonomy, their emotions and their desires. Our job is to make things better. With couples, we fully understand the support role we provide for the primary caregiver. Our clients partners are as important to us as our clients. Home care must work for both if it is going to work for our client.
We are compensated through private pay or by long term care insurance. Medicare does
not pay for home care. To move forward we need to meet with our client and their family, along with anyone else who wishes to be present, to get to know them and understand their goals. If we are a good fit and you decided to move forward we would then start creating a care plan.
